The main body 3 is formed of a resin, and an insert core 6, which is made of a different material and forms an intake passage in the vicinity of a throttle valve 5, is integrally insert molded to form the throttle body 1. In the body in the vicinity of the insert core, a notch 10a is provided in the peripheral direction. Furthermore, the collar bodies 9 made of a different material are insert molded in the flange parts 3a formed at the four corners of the body, and notches 10b are provided on the flange parts adjacent to the collar bodies.
