To provide an insert type cutting tool preventing an insert from being moved by centrifugal force, even when a tool body is rotated at a high speed, and the insert to be used in the insert type cutting tool.
A first insertion hole 31A and a second insertion hole 31B are formed in the insert 20. A first screw hole 15A and a second screw hole 15B are punched on a tool body rear end side of an insert mounting seat 14 and a tool body distal end side, respectively. The first screw hole 15A is more eccentric to the tool body radial direction inside and the tool body rear end side than the first insertion hole 31A. The second screw hole 15B is more eccentric to the tool body radial direction inside and the tool body rear end side than the second insertion hole 31B. A first inclined angle θ1 formed by a straight line connecting a center of the first screw hole 15A and a center of the first insertion hole 31A with an axis O is made θ1≤θ2 in relation to a second inclined angle θ2 formed by a straight line connecting a center of the second screw hole 15B and a center of the second insertion hole 31B with the axis O.
