Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert type headphone having improved frequency characteristics in an entire sound region by externally communicatively connecting a sounding space of a front side of a diaphragm enclosed when it is inserted into an ear hole via a space at a rear side of the diaphragm so as to prevent a sound from being muffled in the sounding space.
SOLUTION: The insert type headphone comprises: a driver unit including a protector plate for protecting a sounding side of the front side of the diaphragm and a yoke plate acting like part of a diaphragm drive circuit at the rear side and supporting the outer circumference of the diaphragm at an outer circumferential end wall; a housing for containing the driver unit to demarcate the sounding space of the front side of the protector plate and a rear space communicatively connected to the outside at the rear side of the yoke plate; and a communicatively connecting path for communicatively connecting the sounding space to the rear space via a ventilation resistor. The communicatively connecting path is configured with a slit formed to an outer circumferential end wall of the yoke plate and the ventilating resistor stops up the rear space side of the slit.
