To provide an inserting utensil which can stably maintain the inserting direction or the inserting speed of an intraocular lens by controlling the posture of the intraocular lens which is folded in the inserting cylinder of the inserting utensil when the intraocular lens is moved in the axial direction.
This inserting utensil for an intraocular lens inserts the deformable intraocular lens, which is deformed into a small shape, in the eye through the inserting cylinder. In such an inserting utensil for the intraocular lens, on the internal surface of the inserting cylinder 17, an intraocular lens guiding section 24 is provided. In addition, the intraocular lens guiding section 24 is a rail or a groove which extends in parallel with the pushing out direction of the intraocular lens 1. Also, the rail for the intraocular lens guiding section 24 is constituted to have a rectangular cross section or a triangular cross section which is not linearly symmetrical. Also, the intraocular lens guiding section 24 is the rail which extends in parallel with the pushing out direction of the intraocular lens 1, and the central line for the cross section of the rail is prevented from locating on a plane which passes the central axis of the inserting cylinder.
