Abstract:
To provide an insertion slot shutoff mechanism of a card reader capable of shutting off an insertion slot so as to suppress noise generated in inserting or ejecting a card into/from a body as much as possible.
In an insertion slot block 20 of the card reader 1, one end side of a rubber member 26 is fixed to a back face part 21a of a block body 21 by sandwiching it by a retention part 24a of a rubber retainer 24, and the insertion slot 22 for an IC card 3 is shut off by the other end side of the rubber member 26.
