Abstract:
PURPOSE:To distinguish a good object from a defective object with reliability by a method wherein an image of the appearance of a molded article on an inspecting area is photographed, the image is processed according to a preset algorithm, and the data such as the position, size, etc., of a defect is turned to numerical values. CONSTITUTION:An inspecting stage 21 is comprised of a transfer mechanism 22, a pushing mechanism 23 and a drop/carry-out mechanism. The mechanism 22 transfers a molded article to a position P1, and the mechanism 23 pushes the molded articles at the position P1 to a position P2 within an inspecting area. The molded article at the position P1 is transferred to the position P2 by the mechanisms 22, 23, and an image of the appearance of the article is photographed by a pickup camera 31. The image is sent to a processing part 32 to be processed according to a preset algorithm. As a result of this, if the molded article has a defect, the position, size, etc., of the defect are obtained in numerical values, compared with a threshold value. Thus, it is judged whether the article is good or bad. The data of the defect is output. At the same time, the molded articles are transferred and sorted to a good article stock part 24 and a defective article stock part 25 by the drop/carry-out mechanism. Accordingly, whether the molded article is good or bad is inspected with high reliability.
