Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for determining defective casting due to blowhole at the hole part of a diecast molding or the periphery thereof accurately and quickly.
SOLUTION: In order to inspect defective casting, e.g. blowhole, of a diecast molding W having a deep hole Wh in the end face Wa thereof, an inspection rod 4 is inserted into the deep hole Wh. An enclosed space section (p) is thereby formed at a part of gap between the deep hole Wh and the inspection rod 4 and the lower surface at the press contact part 3a of a press contact body 3 is fitted tightly to the circumferential end face Ha thus defining a hermetically sealed space section (o) in a groove (e) made in the lower surface at the press contact part 3a. Subsequently, pressurized air is introduced from an air source into the hermetically sealed space sections (o), (p) and the air pressure is monitored by means of a pressure gauge in order to check air leak thus inspecting the inspection region in the deep hole Wh corresponding to each hermetically sealed space section (o), (p) and the inspection region on the peripheral end face Wa thereof for blowhole.
