Abstract:

To obtain an inspection device and an inspection method for a battery gasket capable of accurately picking up an image of an outline of the target gasket and certainly deciding quality of a product even if a sealant adheres to the target gasket.

When near ultraviolet light 25 near the wavelength 340 nm from a black light 2 of this device irradiates a battery 10, a visible light absorption filter 3 absorbs visible light to transmit only the near ultraviolet light 25 so that a polyamide-derived compound of a gasket 12 absorbs light near the wavelength 340 nm to emit fluorescence near the wavelength 420 nm to a camera 5. Material except the gasket 12 emits no fluorescence. A UV absorption filter 4 is attached to the camera 5 to absorb the mirror-reflected ultraviolet rays near the wavelength 340 nm. Accordingly, the camera 5 receives only the light-colored emitted fluorescent from the gasket 12 to accurately pick up an image of a shape of the gasket 12 so that quality of the gasket 12 can be decided.
