Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect an eroded portion of a refractory without requiring much labor and time.SOLUTION: Thermo viewers 11a-11c photographs thermal image of the whole steel shell of a ladle. A refractory inspection device 12 calculates a maximum value of a distribution of a temperature distribution function of the whole steel shell from the thermal image of the whole steel shell measured by the thermo viewer 11a-11c, and when the calculated maximum value is a specified value or more, determines that the refractory erodes, and notices that mending of the refractory is required to an operator. Thus, an eroded portion of a refractory lined onto the ladle can be surely detected without requiring much labor and time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
