Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for a printer such that a sheet as a printing medium can be securely pressed although simple constitution is employed, and further no foreign matter is scattered.SOLUTION: An inspection device for a printer comprises a downstream-side top inspection unit 52 and a downstream-side reverse inspection unit 54 which are connected to a printing unit transferring ink to a sheet 3 and perform only inspection on a printing state. The inspection units 52, 54 comprise fourth and fifth transfer cylinders 37, 38 (inspection cylinders) which convey the sheet 3, and a pressure cylinder 74. The pressure cylinder 74 has its peripheral surface wound with a rubber sheet 74b, and rotates opposite the fourth and fifth transfer cylinders 37, 38 with the rubber sheet 74b in contact with the sheet 3 being conveyed by those cylinders. The sheet conveyed by the downstream-side top inspection unit 52 and downstream-side reverse inspection unit 54 is pressed only by the pressure cylinder 74. All sheets 3 conveyed by those inspection units come into contact with the rubber sheet 74b at the same position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
