Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect an emergency stopper by a relatively easy method in a traction type elevator provided with the emergency stopper operating, when a main rope is loosened, in a car.
SOLUTION: A socket 32a of an arbitrary main rope 5a out of main ropes 5a-5c connected to the car 6 is detached from the car 6 to be fixed to a pit 9 by a fixing tool 33. The main ropes 5b, 5c are loosened by raising/lowering the car 6 by a jack 21 so that the operation of the emergency stopper is confirmed.
