An inspection support device for the brake device of a hoisting machine includes: a through-hole 30 formed at a part away from an insertion hole 4b to insert the fulcrum pin 5 of a lever 4 arranged on both sides of a brake drum 2 of the brake device; a lever holding part 32 provided on a part away from a lever support part 9 having an insertion hole 9a to insert the fulcrum pin 5 of a hoisting machine base 1, and provided with a through-hole 33 to be suited to the through-hole 30 formed on the lever 4 when the lever 4 is turned in the direction of separating from the brake drum 2 with the fulcrum pin 5 as a center; and an inspection pin 31 to be inserted to the through-hole 33 of the lever holding part 32 and the through-hole 30 formed on the lever 4, that are suited to each other.
