Abstract:
A vehicle having a communication unit stores an identifier that identifies a communication profile for a communication network. A method comprises steps of determining whether the vehicle is in a predetermined geographical area; and, if the vehicle is in the predetermined geographical area, downloading the communication profile identified by the identifier, which communication profile comprises an eSIM profile, for example, from a remote computer system, and installing the communication profile for communication by the communication unit in the communication network.
