To provide a method for placing heavy mater to a frame for safely and efficiently installing the heavy load into the frame requiring only a narrow work space, and a device for that.
This installation device 1 for a heavy load into a frame comprises a wheeled carriage 2 to travel on a rail placed along a front surface of the frame 10, a heavy load placing plate 3 for placing the heavy load, a support base 4 composed so that a floor surface of the heavy load placing plate 3 is level to an upper surface of a heavy load placing rack provided on the frame 10, and plural bearing units provided with ball parts which can be protruded from and contained into a main body. After the heavy load is placed on the placing plate 3, it is carried to the front surface of the frame 10, the wheeled carriage 2 is fixed on the rail, the heavy load is moved by rolling of the ball parts set in grooved members provided on a bottom part of the heavy load onto the heavy load placing rack, and the ball parts are then stored in the main body to abut the grooved member onto the heavy load placing rack provided on the frame 10.
