To provide an installation planning system and a method of an elevator which create an installation plan including the optimum installation number of DCS-type elevators and a passenger capacity.
The number of elevators Corg, passenger capacity Porg and elevator hoistway cross-sectional area HWorg which are specified in a standard installation plan of a pre-planned up-down type elevator are inputted. On the basis of the number of elevators Corg, the passenger capacity Porg and the hoistway cross-sectional area HWorg inputted into the input means, the maximum installable number of elevators Cmax and the minimum passenger capacity Pmin are calculated. On the basis of a traffic calculation formula applied to a DCS-type elevator, the number of elevators C is changed from Corg to Cmax with reference to a specified distributed passenger coefficient k, and a passenger capacity P is changed from Porg to Pmin for each number of them C to create combinations of the number of them C and the passenger capacity P. Then, a combination of the optimum number of them C and the passenger capacity P is selected, so that an installation plan of DCS-type elevators is created.
