Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make parts of a joints common to different joints and perfectly prevent an installation error of a catalyzer case by providing either of flange parts of the joint parts on an upstream side end part of a pipe part, and by providing a flange part on the upstream side of the pipe part on a downstream side end part of a connection pipe. CONSTITUTION:A first pipe part 14 for connection is integrally provided on the entrance side of a catalyzer case 12 of a catalytic converter. A second pipe part 16 is integrally provided on the exit side. A connection pipe 18 to connect to the second pipe part 16 is provided. A joint part 26 consisting of a spherical seal member 20, a first flange part 22 for fixing to fix this spherical seal member 20 and a second flange part 24 for contact to spherically make contact with the spherical seal member 20 is provided. Additionally, either of the flange parts of the joint part 26 is provided on the upstream side end part of the first pipe part 14. The flange part different from the flange part provided on the upstream side of the first pipe part 14 is provided on the downstream side end part of the connection pipe 18.
