Abstract:
To provide an installation structure for drifting wood catching body that not only needs no large-scale work such as notching or raising a check dam 10, but also has higher flexibility in an installation form of a drifting wood catching body 1 and a degree of freedom of design (plenty of variations), as well as capability of effectively catching flowing objects such as drifting wood.SOLUTION: The drifting wood catching body 1 comprises: two or more steel column members 2 provided in a balanced manner in a front direction upstream from a water passage 11 of a check dam 10; two or more steel column members 3 (3a, 3b) each provided in a front direction upstream from lateral parts 12, 12 of the check dam 10; and a foundation member 4 supporting the steel column members 2, 3. Each of the steel column members 2, 3 comprises: at least one prop 7,17, and the two or more steel column members 3 (3a, 3b) each provided on the lateral part 12, 12 sides have sizes and arrangement suitable for catching drifting wood that flows down on the widthwise ends of a river.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
