PURPOSE: To position and install pipes with high precision and high efficiency by constituting an installing device used in connecting vertically arranged pipes with a pair of semi-cylindrical two-barrel members pivotally fitted openably, and providing an expanded opening section guiding an upper pipe at the upper section of them.
CONSTITUTION: When vertically arranged upper and lower pipes 13-1, 13-2 are to be installed and connected, the lower pipe 13-1 welded with an iron ring 16 at the pipe end section is fixed to a building, an installing device 1 made of two-barrel members is fitted at the upper end section of the pipe 13-1 with an expanded opening section 9 faced upward, and bolts 4 of fastening tools 5 are fastened to fix it. The upper pipe 13-2 is lowered into the expanded opening section 9 until the end face is brought into contact with a projection 11, and the pipe 13-2 is fixed to the building. The installing device 1 is removed, a rubber ring 17 is shifted upward to the periphery of a junction section between the pipes 13-1, 13-2, and both pipes 13-1, 13-2 are connected and fixed by victaulic connecting joints 19 via the iron rings 16 at the pipe end sections.
