PURPOSE: To joint a wire to an armature at a high degree of strength and durability by such an arrangement wherein after the installing side of a printing wire is reinforced by a metal pipe, the other end of the pipe is connected to an armature and then the wire is bent together with the pipe.

CONSTITUTION: One side 2 of a printing wire 1 is inserted into a metal pipe 3 and the wire 1 is connected and integrated with the pipe 3 by executing draw processing and swaging processing etc. Next, the other end 4 of the metal pipe 3 is fixed to an armature 5 by welding, and then the wire 1 together with the pipe 3 are bent at a position away from the fixed part by a specified distance in the direction perpendicular to the flat surface of the armature 5 to form an armature installed with a printing wire to be used for punching holes of electrically transmitted characters on a paper tape.
