PURPOSE: To shorten the term of works for the construction of blast furnace, by placing the cooler for the furnace bottom united to a block on the shape steel at the foundation of the furnace bottom, filling concrete to below the center of the cooling pipes, further, filling the stamp material having good heat conductivity and, after that, installing the furnace bottom plate.

CONSTITUTION: The cooler obtained by furnishing the cooling pipes 7 to the shape steels 5 with the supporting arm 6 and by uniting these shape steels to a block with the surrounding metal fittings 8, is placed on the shape steel 15 which has been positioned horizontally and the surrounding fittings of the furnace bottom are fixed by welding, etc. The concrete 17 is filled to the level of the center of the cooling pipes 7 and then the carbon stamp material 18, etc. having good heat conductivity is filled to the neighborhood of the upper faces of the shape steels 5, so as to transfer the cooling function of the cooling pipes 7. Then, by placing the furnace bottom plate 3 on the upper faces of the shape steels 5, the installation of the cooler for the furnace bottom part is completed. With this method, the reduction of labor for the work is achieved.
