To provide an installing method of a joint member to a pole capable of installing the joint member on the pole after surface treatment by additional attachment, requiring no chamfering of screws and repairing in zinc paint, shortening a delivery date, reducing a cost and obtaining a beautiful installing state in the finish of an external appearance.

After arranging an installing hole 14 of the joint member 2 in the pole 1, the surface treatment by molten zinc plating is performed on this pole 1, and next, a part of the joint member 2 with a flange 12 is inserted into the installing hole 14 of the pole 1 in a state of interposing a collar 15 between the flange 12 and the pole 1, and a part positioned in the pole 1 of this joint member 2 is calked (16), and the joint member 2 is fixed to the pole 1.
