To provide an instrument display device capable of preventing display of a digital speedometer from being changed by performing racing of an engine, even in the case where actual vehicle speed is zero.
In the state where 'zero' display of the speedometer 32 is continued as long as a prescribed time (for example, 0.5 second) or longer (step S10), a transmission 52 is in a neutral state (step S11), an engine rotational frequency is a prescribed value (for example, 5,000 rpm) or higher (step S14), and a pulse signal inputted from a vehicle speed sensor 21 into a control part 45 of a meter unit 30 is smaller than a prescribed value (for example, a value equivalent to 16 km/h) (step S15), the 'zero' display is maintained even when the pulse signal is inputted from the vehicle speed sensor 21 (step S16), to thereby prevent wrong display of the speedometer 32 caused by racing of the engine. Furthermore, when the transmission 52 is switched from the neutral state to an in-gear state, the 'zero' display of the speedometer 32 is maintained as long as a prescribed time.
