This time measuring instrument comprises a transmitter 6 mounted on a traveling object and for transmitting an identification signal, a plurality of receiving antennas 3 and 3' that form a receiving range obliquely to a measurement line, a receiver 4 for processing the identification signal received by the receiving antennas 3 and 3' along a time axis to obtain time series data of the identification signal, and an analyzing and recording part 5 for analyzing and recording the passing through time of the traveling object from the time series data of the identification signal.
