PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the support rigidity of a storage shelf for placing articles and the like, formed at the front passenger's seat side upper face of an instrument panel, using existing parts.
SOLUTION: An air duct 2 of U-shaped cross section with a flange 3 is disposed and welded to the back face of a vertical wall 2 extending downward from the rear edge 21 of a storage shelf 1, over the whole width of the storage shelf 1.
