Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of an instrument panel P in the closed state of a rid part 15, in an instrument panel wherein the inside of a glove box 11 is illuminated from the upper side in closing the glove box 11 by mounting an illuminating means 41 to a lower duct 33 installed on the back side of the instrument panel body 1 through a mounting means 34.
SOLUTION: The mounting means 43 is composed of an illuminating means mounting wall part 45 drooped from the bottom part 39 of the lower duct 33 to be extended in the vehicle width direction, side wall parts 47, 47 joined to the wall part 45, and a bottom wall part 49. The illuminating means 41 is mounted to the wall part 45 and lit with a switch for width indicators of an automobile, so that the light thereof is projected into the glove box 11 from a projecting hole 49a of the mounting means 43. A closure plate 57 for shading the light from an opening 53 of the mounting means 43 to the back side of the panel body 1 is formed integrally with the upper edge part of a glove box mounting hole 13.
