Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an insuiated coil for a rotating electric machine, which does not suffer a mechanical loss even when the coil is molded and has excellent insulating performance by using a flexible wire-covering resin after molded by heating under pressure at the time of hardening the coil stand.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of molding a coil 5 in a hexagonal pattern which is wound so that the cross section of the hardened wire is shaped in a rectangle, the part of the coil inserted into an iron-core slot must be held so as to take the from of a straight line and therefore a strand hardening resin after hardened must firmly bond strand conductors 1 to each other. However, a mechanical stress due to the deformation of the bent part of the coil after the coil is molded can be slightly relaxed when the coil of the strsight part hardened by the wire hardening resin is deformable. Therefore, the wire covering resin which has flexibility after molded by heating under pressure at the time of hardening the coil strand is used as the strand hardening resin, thereby making it feasible that the coil wire does not suffer a mcchanical stress even at the time of molding the ciol strand.
