Abstract:
To provide a silicone rubber insulated wire having a small generation amount of low-molecular-weight siloxane.SOLUTION: An insulated wire has a coating comprising silicone rubber formed on the outer circumference of a conductor wire and has a residual amount of siloxane trimer to siloxane octamer of 200 ppm or less in the silicone rubber. The insulated wire has a residual amount of siloxane octamer of 30 ppm in the silicone rubber. The insulated wire has a conductor wire being a tin plated copper wire or a tin plated copper alloy wire and has a tin layer remaining on the surface of the conductor wire. The insulated wire has a copper-tin intermetallic compound layer having a thickness thinner than the tin layer in the conductor wire or has no copper-tin intermetallic compound layer in the conductor wire. A method for manufacturing an insulated wire comprises extrusion-molding silicone rubber subjected to volatilization treatment of low-molecular-weight siloxane by heating in advance on the outer circumference of a conductor wire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
