Abstract:
Provided are: an insulated wire which has a high partial discharge starting voltage, while exhibiting excellent flexibility and excellent ATF resistance; a coil which is composed of this insulated wire; and a motor for vehicles, which is provided with this coil. This insulated wire 10 is provided with: a conductor 1; a polyimide layer 2 which is formed of a polyimide having an imide group concentration of 36% or less, and which covers the outer circumference of the conductor 1 so as to serve as the innermost insulating coating layer; and a polyamide-imide layer 3 which covers the outer circumference of the polyimide layer 2 so as to serve as the outermost insulating coating layer. The polyamide-imide layer 3 has a thickness of from 20 μm to 40 μm (inclusive); and the ratio of the thickness of the polyamide-imide layer 3 to the total film thickness of the insulating coating layers is 50% or less.
