Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance sound insulating and radiation shielding effects by using resin mortar contg. aggregate and powder of a high atomic weight metal.
CONSTITUTION: A resin mortar insulating material is obtd. by blending aggregate such as hollow siliceous spheres with powder of at least one kind of high atomic weight metal selected among lead, iron and nickel and solvent-soluble acrylic resin, acrylic-urethane resin, epoxy resin, etc., as a binder. The amt. of the metal powder used is regulated to 50-98wt.% of the total amt.
