Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for inspecting a sealed battery, for reliable inspection of short-circuits. SOLUTION: First contact means 17 and 17 comprise a pair of terminal contact pieces 19 and 20 independently contacting arbitrary two points of one of terminals 13 and 14. A second contact means 18 comprises a pair of through contact pieces 21 and 21 independently penetrating arbitrary two points of coated layer. Before a practical inspection for inspecting continuity between the first contract means 17 and the second contact means 18, there are provided a first preliminary inspection for inspecting continuity between the through contact pieces 21 and 21 while the through contact pieces 21 and 21 of the second contact means 18 penetrates the coated layer, and a second preliminary inspection for inspecting continuity between terminal contact pieces 19 and 20 while the terminal contact pieces 19 and 20 of the first contact means 17 contact one of the terminals 13 and 14.
