Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulator capable of suppressing heat radiation from an exhaust pipe, and capable of facilitating arrangement of a heat insulating material between the exhaust pipe and a heat shield plate.SOLUTION: An insulator 30 includes: a heat shield plate 31 which is arranged along an outer peripheral surface of an exhaust manifold 20 as an exhaust pipe forming an exhaust passage, and is disposed separately from the outer peripheral surface; a mat material 32 held between the heat shield plate 31 and the exhaust manifold 20 so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust manifold 20, and is made of a material having the heat conductivity lower than that of air; and a heat insulating material 33 which is buried in the mat material 32, and is made of a material having the heat conductivity lower than that of the material constituting the mat material 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
