Abstract:

PURPOSE: To supply directly an increased air without hindering the stratification of mixture by starting the direct introduction of the air increase quantity to a combustion chamber prior to fuel injection from a fuel injection valve, stop ping introduction before the predetermined time of fuel injection.

CONSTITUTION: When an ECU 20 decides that it is an air increase quantity time that has satisfied an air increase quantity condition, it starts to output an ON signal for an air increase quantity to an air control valve 18 at a time that is equivalent to, for example, 270° before a compression top dead point, and stops once the operation of the air control valve 18 at a timepoint when a predetermined time, for example, 3ms has elapsed since the above time. And it starts to output an ON signal for fuel mix to the air control valve 18 at a time that is equivalent to, for example, 150° before the compression top dead point, and maintains operation for a predetermined time, for example, 4ms. And it outputs an ion signal to fuel injection valve 14 at a time that is equivalent to 145° before the compression top dead point, and maintenance is conducted for a predetermined time, for example, 3.2ms. Thus, it is prevented that the stratification of mixture is disturbed by injection fuel.
