Abstract:
To provide an intake air cooling system capable of controlling resistance to an engine due to pre-cooling of an evaporator.SOLUTION: An intake air passage 130a of an intake air cooling system 1 is branched into a first intake air passage 131 and a second intake air passage 132. An intake air evaporator 35 is installed in the second intake air passage 132 and cools air flowing therein. When determining that a drive state of an engine 120 is not within a knocking generation region, a controller 6 controls: a compressor 31 in a manner that makes a flow rate of a coolant to be supplied to the intake air evaporator 35 smaller, in a range that the flow rate is larger than zero, than the flow rate when determining that the drive state of the engine 120 is within the knocking generation region; and a damper D in a manner that makes a ratio of the flow rate of the air flowing into the second intake air passage 132 smaller than the ratio when determining that the drive state of the engine 120 is within the knocking generation region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
