Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the quantity of soot in exhaust and the discharge quantity of uncombusted HC component by installing an controller for increasing the number of times of fuel injection during the time when an opening/closing valve is opened, in an intake apparatus equipped with two suction ports for each cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection controller 11 calculates the injection quantity corresponding to the number of times of fuel injection larger than 1 per number of times of revolution of crankshaft on the basis of the input such as crank angle θ signal and intake air flow-rate Q signal and outputs the driving pulse signals corresponding to the injection quantity is output into a fuel injection valve 3. Since the fuel is jetted out in divided form little by little from the injection valve 3, the fuel is mixed uniformly with air. Therefore, at least in the engine operation region where an opening/closing valve 4 is opened, the evaporation state of the fuel in the first intake port 2A and a combustion chamber 5 is improved, and the quantity of soot in exhaust and the discharge quantity of uncombusted HC component can be reduced.
