To provide an intake control device for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, improving fuel consumption during idling.
The intake control device comprises intake control valves 40 provided in intake passages for cylinders 1a-1d, R/S actuators 50 for driving the opening/closing of the intake control valves, opening sensors 83 for detecting the valve openings of the intake control valves, a crank angle sensor 81 for detecting the speed of the internal combustion engine, a cylinder identifying sensor 82 for detecting the torque of each of the cylinders, and an ECU 5 for controlling the openings of the intake control valves after receiving signals from these sensors. The opening of the intake control valve for each of the cylinders is controlled so that the engine speed becomes a lower limit value where the engine is not stopped during idling.
