Abstract:

To improve the assemblability of first and second throttle bodies on first and second banks, respectively, while using an electric motor for accurately opening and closing the throttle valves of both throttle bodies without using an interlocking device and a synchronizing mechanism.

An intake control device for a V-type engine includes: the first and second throttle bodies 5a, 5b independent so as to be individually mountable on the first and second banks 2a, 2b; the electric motor 11, a reduction gear device 12, a throttle opening sensor 33 and a fuel injection valve 14 attached to each of the throttle bodies 5a, 5b; an accelerator opening sensor 38 for detecting the operation quantity of an accelerator operation member; and a common electronic control unit 39 for controlling the actuation of the electric motor 11 on the side of the first throttle body 5a in accordance with a detection signal from the accelerator opening sensor 38 and detection signals from the throttle opening sensors 33 on the sides of the first and second throttle bodies 5a, 5b.
