Abstract:
To provide an intake air cooling device for an internal-combustion engine fitted with a supercharger capable of cooling the intake air more favorably.
The device is equipped with a water adding means 6 installed in an air intake passage located downstream of the compressor of the supercharger and upstream of an intercooler and a fuel adding means 8 installed in the air intake passage downstream of the intercooler. The intake air is cooled through gasification of the fuel added by the fuel adding means 8, and the condensate generated thereby is used to the water addition made by the water adding means 6.
