Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake for cooling water capable of solving such the fault that a large number of steel pipe piles are necessary for resisting against wave pressure acting on an impervious slab because the conventional intake for cooling water fix the impervious slab constituting a curtain wall by the steel pipe piles.
SOLUTION: In the intake for the cooling water, the impervious slab for cutting off an upper layer water section on the front section of an channel port is connected between an anchor placed on the bottom having an opening section for a deep layer water intake and a floating body in a tiltable manner.
