Abstract:
To provide an intake device of an internal combustion engine capable of generating pure swirl flow and tumble flow.SOLUTION: An intake device 101 includes: an intake passage 5; an intake flow control valve 3 including a rotating shaft 32, disposed on the intake passage 5 rotatably to the rotating shaft 32, and controlling flow of intake air; and a housing portion 6 of the intake flow control valve 3. The intake device is provided with a swirl opening 7 formed at one side in a rotating direction of the intake flow control valve 3 to generate swirl flow in a combustion chamber 14, and a tumble opening 8 formed on the other side in the rotating direction of the intake flow control valve 3 and generating tumble flow in the combustion chamber 14. By rotating the intake flow control valve 3, a swirl state for opening the swirl opening 7 at one side in the rotating direction of the intake flow control valve 3, and a tumble state for opening the tumble opening 8 at the other side in the rotating direction of the intake flow control valve can be switched.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
