Abstract:
The present invention provides, in an internal combustion engine for a saddle-type vehicle, an intake device having vibration resistance against vehicle vibration and heat resistance against heat from the internal combustion engine in the case where the intake device has an intake control valve, such as a tumble control valve, in addition to a throttle valve. An intake device of an internal combustion engine for a saddle-type vehicle includes: a throttle valve 81 that is provided in an intake passage 6, through which intake air directed to a combustion chamber 38 of an internal combustion engine 3 passes, and that is controlled to a desired degree of opening to control the amount of the intake air; and an intake control valve 71 that is provided downstream of the throttle valve and that opens or closes the cross-section of a main passage of the intake passage divided into a main passage 6A and a subpassage 6B in the direction of the passage to control the supply of the intake air to the main passage. The intake device includes a connection pipe 61 that relays, in a fluidic manner, between a throttle body 8 having the throttle valve and an intake control valve device 7 having the intake control valve, that has heat insulating properties, and that is elastic so as to allow relative displacement between the throttle body and the intake control valve device.
