An intake flow path changing adapter 119 of a bottomed cylindrical body made of resin is usable for various compressors, including a swash plate compressor 100 having a compression mechanism sucking in, compressing and discharging a refrigerant to a discharge chamber 117, a reciprocating compressor such as a rocking plate compressor, a scroll compressor, a vane compressor and the like, is attachable later to an intake port 118 of the compressor, when attached later to the intake port, forms the intake port and changes an intake flow path. When noises are generated in a refrigerant circuit low pressure side evaporator or the like connected to the intake port, if the intake flow path changing adapter is attached later, the intake flow path formed by the intake port is changed and the noises are suppressed.
