Abstract:
To provide an intake manifold having an excellent processing function for water included in EGR gas.SOLUTION: An intake branch passage 18 of an intake manifold 5 includes an upward part 24, a peak part 25, and a downward inclination part 26, the downward inclination part 26 consisting of a twin passage part 26a on the downstream side partitioned by a partition wall 27, and a single passage part 26b on the upstream side of the partition wall 27. An EGR gas outlet 33 is opened toward a site closer to the peak part 25 than the partition wall 27, out of the single passage part 26b. Even when condensed water is generated in an EGR distribution passage 32, the condensed water is atomized riding on intake air without staying in a surge tank 14 and then scattered into the downstream, and so no trouble occurs. Since the EGR gas outlet 33 is offset to be closer to the peak part 25, the dispersibility of EGR gas from the intake air is improved to make EGR gas concentration in one of two intake ports 28 equal to that in the other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
