Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the output in a high speed area while reducing the ventila tion resistance inside of a collector of an intake system for internal combustion engine, and to lower the radiation noise from a collector outer wall surface.
SOLUTION: A first volume chamber 15 provided at a central part inside of a collector 1 in a V-type internal combustion engine and second volume chambers 16, 17 provided in both sides of the first volume chamber 15 are cut off by valve units 13, 14 in a low and a middle speed areas, and communicated with each other in a high speed area so as to obtain the intake dynamic effect, and volume efficiency is improved so as to improve the output. A heaped projection part 31 is provided so that a collector inner wall part in both sides of frames 25 of the valve unit 13, 14 and the seating surface of a valve element 26 of the frame 25 are smoothly connected to each other. Ventilation resistance is thereby reduced, and rigidity of the collector wall is reinforced so as to lower a radiation noise from the collector outer wall.
