To provide an intake system structure of an engine for an automobile which performs space saving and a reduction in the number of components by integrating peripheral components when an air cleaner is mounted in an engine room and which facilitates the routing work of a harness of concerned electronic parts.
In the intake system structure of this engine, the electronic parts 30 are mounted on the cylinder head cover 2 of the engine, and the air cleaner 10 is arranged above the cover 2. The cleaner 10 has an upper case 11 and a lower case 12. The case 12 is provided integrally with the cover 2. A connector 20 to be connected to the parts 30 is provided at the case 11. Further, a partition plate is provided in the case 11 and the case 12. An air cleaner chamber A and a resonator chamber are provided in the cleaner 10.
