Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve intake efficiency by disposing an outer cylinder member on an exposed surface in the air intake passage of an intake valve, and forming a heat-insulating layer on an exposed surface on the cylinder side. CONSTITUTION:An outer cylinder member 8 adapted to surround an intake valve 6 in the peripheral direction and partition an air layer 9 in a space toward an exposed surface is disposed on the exposed surface in air intake passage 4 of an intake valve 6. A heatinsulating layer 10 is formed on an exposed surface on the cylinder side of the intake valve 6. In this arrangement, temperature rise of the intake valve can be restrained to check expansion of intake air due to heating, so that the efficiency of intake to a cylinder can be increased.
