Abstract:
To provide a wheel assembly of a spoked wheel having a desired strength and is easily manufacturable, yet having a desired appearance.
The wheel assembly 10 is composed of a stamped disk 28 having integrally formed spokes 16 and welded to a rim 12. The stamped disk 28 has a ring portion 18 around the entire circumference which is seated on a shoulder portion of the rim 12 and welded on the front side of the rim 12 by bead welding 20 which is substantially continuous. The spokes 16 extend from a center part 36 to the ring portion 18. The center part 36 of the disk 28 has an opening 22 for mounting.
