Title:
INTEGRATED BRACE/PILLAR HOLD-DOWN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000355974
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To facilitate installation of a hold-down by forming round holes, a large elliptical hole and round holes in upper portions, a bottom, and side portions of a hold-down main body, respectively.

Fifteen mm diameter round holes 2 are formed in respective upper portions of an L-shaped hold-down main body 1. Then, a large elliptical hole 3 having a width of 17 mm or 21 mm and a length of 3 cm, into which an anchor bolt is inserted, is formed in a bottom of the main body 1. Further, a square steel plate 4 for a brace, having 15 mm diameter round holes 5 which can cope with the angle of the brace is welded to a portion of a side of the main body, to thereby form an integrated brace/pillar hold-down. As a result, even if the location of the anchor bolt is displaced by several centimeters, the hold-down can be easily installed.
