To obtain an integrated media line concentration system suitably used to the integrated media line concentration system multiplexing many media signals onto a broadband optical fiber where the necessity of building up a different network for each medium is eliminated, components building up a transmission line can be unified and the installation work is standardized and simplified.
The system has an optical interface section 114 connected to a broadband optical fiber transmission line 113 and the optical interface section 114 transmits/receives a plurality of kinds of media signals processed by a plurality of terminals 115-116 via the broadband optical fiber transmission line 113. The optical interface section 114 is provided with an optical transmission section 102, an optical reception section 108, a multiplexer section 104, and a demultiplexer section 110, and transmits/receives terminal signals of many media via the broadband optical fiber transmission line 113 by the same signal system by converting the signals from the terminals at a sufficiently high transmission rate than a transmission reception rate of the terminals into the optical transmission line signals, multiplexing them and demultiplexing and inversely converting them.
