PURPOSE: To restrain influence caused by rust, mud and snow or the like to the minimum extent, and reliably attain transmission and reception by arranging electromagnetic coupling devices in end parts of respective rolling stocks connected to each other, and transmitting a signal between the rolling stocks by an action of mutual induction by opposing to each other when adjacent rolling stocks are connected to each other by the electromagnetic coupling devices.
CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic coupling device 3 is arranged in a tip part of an extending bracket 7 arranged on an automatic coupler 2. A transmission coil 11 is arranged in a projecting part 8 of the electromagnetic coupling device 3, and a reception coil 12 is arranged by surrounding a recessed part 9. Leader lines 13 and 14 are pulled out of the respective coils 11 and 12, and are housed in a single cable 15, and are connected to a transmission control device of a bogie 1 of respective rolling stocks. When the automatic couplers 2 and 2a of the respective rolling stocks are connected to each other, the transmission coil 11 is opposed to a reception coil 12a of an electromagnetic coupling device 3a, and the reception coil 12 is copposed to a transmission coil 11a of the electromagnetic coupling device 3. In this case, since the transmission and reception coils 11 and 12 are formed as separate bodies, transmission and reception can be simultaneously performed. The electromagnetic coupling device 3 is protected under the automatic coupler 3.
