Title:
INTER-VEHICULAR DISTANCE MEASURING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3173641
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To condense a reflected light efficiently while reducing the cost by providing a hologram for condensing the reflected light from an object.
CONSTITUTION: A laser light pulse is emitted from a laser light emitting section 1 and the reflected light from an object is received at a light receiving section 2. A distance measuring section 13 measures the distance to the object based on the time difference between the emission of light and the reception of light. Lights impinging on holograms 3a, 3b are diffracted and condensed while diverging lights produces parallel lights. The holograms 3a, 3b are obtained by irradiating a photosensitive film exhibiting the sensitivity in infrared region with a reference light diverging with a wavelength in the infrared region and an parallel object light to sensitize the film and then recording the interference fringes. The holograms 3a, 3b are pasted to the front glass of a vehicle 10 and the light emitting section 1 and the light receiving section 2 are disposed in the dash board of the vehicle 10. Since the holograms 3a, 3b condense and diffract the parallel light, the disposing positions of the light emitting section 1 and the light receiving section 2 can be set freely.
